ESP E-II Horizon FR – Black Natural Burst

The ESP E-II Horizon FR is a guitar designed for high-level performing, for serious players who can’t accept compromises in their instrument’s ability to showcase their talent. Built in Japan, it offers set-thru construction for fast and smooth access to the highest frets, pairing a mahogany body to a 3-piece maple neck with ebony fingerboard and 24 extra-jumbo frets, and a quilted maple top in Black natural Burst finish. You’ll appreciate the feel of fine, detailed workmanship each time you pick up the E-II Horizon FR, which includes high-end components like a Floyd Rose Original bridge, ESP strap locks, and Gotoh locking tuners. This guitar includes a Seymour Duncan Sentient pickup in the neck position for wide dynamic range and excellent articulation, and an aggressive Seymour Duncan Pegasus in the bridge that’s highly responsive and harmonically rich, with push-pull coil splitting. Includes ESP hardshell case.

    Awesome guitar! My first high end ESP after owning several Gibson Custom Shop Les Pauls. This guitar blows them out of the water when it comes to fit and finish and most important the fretwork. The frets are perfectly dressed and polished and no buzzing or high spots whatsoever. The neck is a “thin U” according to ESP, but it is not Ibanez thin. It’s more of a vintage rounded Strat profile and it fills the hand nicely. This beast plays like butter!

    Love the old skool headstock. The Seymour Duncan Sentient (neck) and Pegasus (bridge) are both very articulate and suit this guitar very well. At max gain on my Friedman BE and SLO they stay crisp and defined, Cleans are also nice. The coil tap combined with the Elixir strings, makes this guitar also capable of very convincing sparkly Strat sounds, thats an awesome extra! The Original Floyd Rose trem can be beat to hell, but it stays in tune perfectly. All in all, a high end and also very beautiful looking axe.

    The service from Zjon is awesome. What a nice and down to earth guy to deal with. The guitar came very well packed and inside the case was also a pack of delicious Dutch stroop wafels. The case candy also came with a Zjon’s Guitarstore pamflet with a hand written note from Zjon and some photos of the guitar. I know where I’m going to spend my next big amount of money haha!
